Privacy Policy

This policy describes how ForceTricks, operated by Gabriel Cruz Ferreira (Porto Alegre, Brazil), handles personal data collected during your visit. Processing follows the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD, Law 13.709/2018) — equivalent to the GDPR for visitors from outside Brazil.

What we collect

  • Contact form: name, email, and the message you write. Provided voluntarily when you submit the form.
  • Newsletter subscription: only the email you provide. Subscription uses double opt-in: we store the email temporarily until you confirm via the link we send; only then does it join the mailing list.
  • IP address: used in two cases: when submitting the contact form (rate-limiting, kept up to 10 minutes) and when registering a post reaction (vote deduplication, kept up to 30 days via Upstash Redis). Never linked to a name, email, or any other personal data.
  • Usage metrics: Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights collect anonymous, aggregated visit statistics (no cookies, no personal identifiers).

Why we collect it

  • To reply to messages sent through the contact form.
  • To email you about new posts, with your consent.
  • To protect the site from spam and abuse.
  • To understand which articles are read and adjust content production.

How long we keep it

  • Contact form messages: stay in the inbox until manually deleted.
  • Rate-limit IP (contact form): up to 10 minutes.
  • Reaction dedup IP: up to 30 days.
  • Pending (unconfirmed) subscription email: up to 24 hours, then discarded.
  • Confirmed subscriber email: until you unsubscribe via the link in each email.
  • Vercel metrics: per Vercel's retention policy.

Sharing

We do not sell or rent your data. Form messages pass through Resend (opens in new tab) (transactional email provider) only for delivery to the recipient. Resend also stores the newsletter subscriber list and handles unsubscribes. Anonymous metrics are processed by Vercel.

Cookies

The site does not use tracking cookies. Vercel Analytics is cookieless; so is Speed Insights. Post reactions are recorded via IP address on the server — no cookies, no login required.

Your rights (LGPD / GDPR)

You may, at any time, request:

  • Confirmation of processing and access to data.
  • Correction of incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated data.
  • Anonymization, blocking, or deletion of unnecessary data.
  • Portability or deletion of consent-based data.
